Welcome Lucid Brothers and Sisters !
Following is a rundown of the training program you and i will be utilizing throughout the 30 day challenge.
The Weekly plan we will be doing is :
1. Embracing your gift
4 Workouts/week of approximately 30 min each divided in 3 blocks focused on STRENGTH - EXTREMETIES - CNS RECOVERY
Every Strength session starts with one Heavy oriented block ( 5 min in total ) focusing on 1 out of the 4 main lucid Freedom exercises.
- Handstand push ups progression
- One arm chin-up progression
- Pistol squat progression
- Nordic progression
Getting strong in these 4 exercises and ensuring progressing every week is going to skyrocket your physique and physical ability in a very efficient and enjoyable way enabling you to master you bodyweight anywhere and anytime.
The next block focuses on EXTREMETIES/CORE (6 min) and is optional.
Lastly we want to tap into immediate CNS RECOVERY by utilizing various breathwork regimes (5 min)
2. Embracing an “Enviromental Movement practice”
3 workouts/week focused on NATURAL MOVEMENT
While STRENGTH make you look good, feel good and supports living younger for longer It doesn’t necessary make you MOVE better.
Essential in my opinion to a fulfilling life. A basic practice for any and every human should encompass the following basic natural movements technologies:
Balance Jumping VaultingClimbing Brachiation - Swinging CrawlingWith “Environmental Practices” I refer to all movement practices developed in a relationship with space, whether that’s in a city or in a natural setting. We live in a space, whether we want it or not. We can choose to ignore it, or we can use it to grow.
Buildering walls, traversing pipes, balancing on rails, vaulting over wall, flowing on concrete blocks, brachiating on trees.
It is essential to extrapolate a new meaning to the surroundings, removing labels and social conditioning. Things are just as they are: we can deconstruct their reason to be and then, we can add a new meaning to their existence.
“You must walk around rails rather than on them”.
Fixed descriptors of reality are used to build stability in society, however, stability kills challenge and if you kill challenge, good luck with that, it will be like killing the ultimate essence of being human. Get back to tabula rasa.
We don’t have control if we move or not, but we have control over how well we move and how much.
Know that with the process of uplifting your physical “literacy” your mental framework will transcend and emancipate your old mental slavery.
Re evaluation of what you believe in through experience and mental rehearsal is what changes it.
ENVIRONMENT IS KING !
Training outside under the sun barefoot in the grass once a day is going to nourish you and completely change your mental game, your metabolism and believe me or not gains will come faster as well.
Using you environment as your playground keeps the mystery and magic alive.
Instead of always locking your self in a sweaty box under a fluorescent blue light you can choose to explore your neighbourhood and find a rail to practice your balance or a wall to improve your climbing. Having an open space for practice that changes is allowing and welcoming more and more synchronicities into your life you keep the childs eyes of curiocity allive, even when you have been living in the same hood for years.
I believe in living life and embracing a practice to cultivate better people and not just better athletes.
There is a reason why in many martial arts, the practice is also referred to as “the way” and not only “the training”. In those cultures, exploring a discipline means to fully immerse in it, understanding the underpinning principles and approaches to then make it one with every other act present in the daily living.
every experience we go through in life should add something to ourselves, otherwise it’s empty and useless.
Growth, challenge, education and constant development should be the main vectors of research in an active life. Day by day, adding something new.
