How do you feel about moving a heavy weight up and down robotically and religiously for years ? This practice is also known as heavy squats. Jumping While leg development has its place I find it unnatural for humans to not embrace their natural ability to befriend gravity through jumping and develop the beautiful technology of absorbing forces through landing. Even more so when you learn to control and redirect that ability into being precise and in balance when you land. What is the use of tree trunk legs if you can’t sprint or run, if you can’t jump and land effortlessly and soundlessly like a cat? No words can describe the feeling of sticking a landing or unlocking a new jump. People see parkour people and think they are crazy, I think people who can’t jump crazy. This practice alone will make you believe superhuman ability is real. Practice jumping on various surfaces and different heights and witness your confidence and energy raise. Where you used to see limits and obstacles you will now see opportunities to practice and enjoy your physicality.
