Rest days are for robots !
If anything costs your health, its too expensive.
I dont believe in scheduled rest days.
I believe in something above and beyond that.
I believe in learning to listen to what your body needs and giving it exactly that.
Instead of acting like a robot following what its being told, follow what your body's divine intelligence is signaling to you.
But Jonathan ??!
The 30 day challenge is inviting us for 30min of daily training.
Correct, and that's what we strive to accomplish.
BUT
If anything costs your mental OR physical health, its too expensive
so simply follow your god given intuition:
- if your body is signalling to you that it needs rest, give it rest.
- If your body is signaling to you that an injury is on the rise, act proactively and take a sophisticated step back.
- If your body is communicating that it needs to break the fast earlier, by all means do it.
Rules are only guidelines to facilitate a space through which you can PRACTICE and LEARN more about your self.
Here are some general helping guidelines
in case you should need them through our “ASCENT” 30 day journey:
Im sore all over my body and dont feel strength training will be productive:
- Have an active recovery day instead. More walking, more sun, high quality water nourishment, read a book and call it a day.
- You could always have the less intense session on a sore day. Practice your balance or experiment with your coordination through learning crawling patterns or vaulting.
- Use my active self love recovery day to loosen up tension and recover faster.
Im running low on time and i feel a bit weak today. i think i will skip today.
- Always do your best. Just doing a 5-10 min training block will always be superior than sitting on the couch and binging Netflix.
- Do the first 2 exercises of the program, its about building the habit of attending and showing up for your self.
